Distance Education Standards

  1. Updated task force member information including founding members.
  2. Correction to a reference in Standard VII-C.

Distance Education Policies & Procedures

  1. Correspondence courses that satisfy current distance education requirements can now be certified.
  2. Presentation Platform wording was inserted to include correspondence courses that are not using a learning management system (LMS).
  3. Procedures 9c and 9e were amended to allow 10-12 incremental "and/or required summative" assessment items per hour of instruction depending on a jurisdiction's requirements for final exams in CE courses. The amendments also require random item selection from assessment banks for all quizzes and exams in all types of courses.
