MEET THE SPEAKERS

KEYNOTE SPEAKER, MITCH SKINNER

Mitchell A. Skinner is the managing member of Larson Skinner PLLC, providing legal counsel and strategic advice on MLS governance, data management, and intellectual property. Named to the Swanepoel Power 200 from 2016 to 2020, Mitchell advises the Council of Multiple Listing Services, the Real Estate Standards Organization, and numerous MLS and REALTOR® Associations. He specializes in software and content licensing, intellectual property portfolio creation, and collaborative initiatives.

 

MLS PANEL

Rene Galicia is an Executive Vice President at Bright MLS, focusing on delivering value and quality to stakeholders. With expertise in MLS operations, policy issues, data licensing, compliance, and customer service, Rene handles complex issues with professionalism. He is passionate about improving MLS policies and advancing the industry. As an attorney, Rene brings a high level of professionalism and diplomacy to his role.

Shelley Specchio is the Chief Executive Officer of MIBOR REALTOR® Association in Indianapolis, IN, since 2017. She brings a focus on community involvement and real estate market efficiency. Shelley has extensive experience in the real estate industry, starting her career in 1994 and progressing to CEO of the Northern Nevada Regional MLS in 2008. She is dedicated to superior service and national industry involvement, allowing her to anticipate trends and foster collaboration. Shelley holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Nevada.

Anne Marie DeCatsye has been CEO of Canopy Realtor® Association since 2001, managing Canopy MLS, Canopy Real Estate Institute, and Canopy Housing Foundation. With a background in association law and lobbying, she has received numerous accolades, including being named one of Charlotte’s Most Admired CEOs. Anne Marie serves on various local and national boards, including the Realtor.com MLS Advisory Board and the NAR Legal Action Committee. She is a frequent industry speaker and advocate for affordable housing. Anne Marie holds a bachelor’s degree from Creighton University and a law degree from The Catholic University of America.

Justin Haag, President & CEO of NWMLS since 2024, leads the organization in strategic direction and oversees a professional staff providing real estate information and support to over 30,000 professionals. He joined NWMLS in 2008, previously serving as General Counsel. Justin is also on the Board of Directors for the Council of Multiple Listing Services and the MLS Technology Platform. Before NWMLS, he practiced law at Foster Pepper PLLC. Justin holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of California Davis and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Washington.

Edward Zorn is Vice President and General Counsel for the California Regional MLS, overseeing legal aspects and compliance for 105,000 brokers and agents. With nearly 30 years as a real estate attorney and over 20 years as a broker, Ed has extensive experience in Realtor Association and brokerage representation. He has been an Adjunct Professor at California Baptist University and served as a state Director for the California Association of Realtors. Ed is an active member of the NAR MLS Listing Issues and Policy Committee and a frequent industry presenter.

 

Jason Sanchez is the Director of MLS Engagement at the National Association of REALTORS®. With 22 years of in-depth knowledge of the REALTOR® Association and MLS Industries, Jason has held various roles, including his work as the MLS Solutions Manager in Austin, Texas, where he led the implementation of new technology solutions to support and enhance MLS’s products and services offered to subscribers. He also served as CEO and MLS Director for the Greater El Paso Association of REALTORS®, where he launched five MLS Systems and a Commercial MLS. Currently, he works to ensure NAR maintains strong relationships with MLSs, technology vendors, and brokers across the country. Jason was selected as one of the MLS industry’s next generation leaders in 2017.

Rodney M. Gansho, RCE, CMLX-2, is the Director of Engagement at the National Association of REALTORS®. With over three decades of experience, Rodney has held key roles within the Member Policy Department, Association and MLS Governance, and now in Engagement. Since 2014, Rodney has been the staff executive for NAR’s Multiple Listing Issues and Policies Committee and the MLS Technology and Emerging Issues Advisory Board. His dedication led to his additional role as liaison to NAR’s Institutes, Societies, and Councils in 2019. Rodney holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Illinois and earned his RCE (REALTOR® Association Certified Executive) designation in 2004. In 2022, he achieved the CMLX-2 designation, showcasing his commitment to real estate management and technology. 

INDUSTRY PARTNER UPDATES

Sam DeBord is CEO of the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO). He is the author of Working with Real Estate Data, organized real estate’s premier technology course for onboarding and professional development. Sam has served as President’s Liaison for MLS and Data Management with the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), a management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, managing broker for Coldwell Banker Danforth, a mentor for NAR REACH and a board director for association, MLS and venture fund organizations.

Charlie Lee is the Senior Counsel and Director of Legal Affairs at the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). He is an experienced legal professional with a robust background in association law and governance. He joined NAR in 2018 after a decade at the Appraisal Institute, where he served as Associate Counsel, advising on various legal issues. At NAR, Charlie handles legal matters related to multiple listing services, litigation, not-for-profit taxation, cybersecurity, and antitrust. He also serves on several committees, including the MLS Policy and Issues Committee and the REALTOR® Property Operations Committee. Charlie earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Illinois and his law degree cum laude from the University of Illinois Chicago Law School.

Cancellation Policy

In accordance with ARELLO Procedure 9, all cancellation requests must be in writing and sent to ARELLO's Chief Executive Officer. Cancellations received at or before July 7, 2024 11:59pm EDT (30 days prior to the start of the event) will receive a full refund. There is a $100.00 cancellation fee for cancellations received between July 8, 2024 12:00am EDT and July 27, 2024 11:59pm EDT (10 days prior to the start of the event). No refunds will be made for cancellations received after July 28, 2024 12:00am EDT.

Refunds for cancellations due to an illness, injury, death or emergency will be considered on a case by case basis by the ARELLO Chief Executive Officer.
