2012 Commissioner College 102

Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada
September 23, 2012

About This Event

ARELLO® members who serve as regulatory decision-makers carry out a broad range of responsibilities and must act in conformance with a potentially confusing array of licensing statues, occupational codes, administrative laws and rules of procedure. Whether promulgating rules and policies, conducting hearings, imposing discipline or making other types of decisions, regulators must be aware of the standards that apply to the distinct functions that they perform. The ARELLO® Commissioner College is an outstanding educational program that explains these special responsibilities by addressing subjects such as administrative law; applicable rules of procedure and rules of evidence; the rights, duties and liabilities of Board/Council/Commission members; ethical considerations; and licensing administration and policy. The program is presented by highly experienced experts and excellent accompanying text materials are provided to attendees.

And, while new Board/Council/Commission members and administrators will benefit greatly from the ARELLO® Commissioner College, the program is periodically updated and serves as a great refresher course for more experienced regulators!
